Proof that depravity (stupidity?) knows no bounds. After 21 years of racing, Gremlin should have known better. However, being able to resist anything but temptation, he succumbs to the cheap and easy thrills offered by.......a two-stroke!

This is the original works prototype Decorite, dating from 1983. It was originally ridden by Kevin "Mad-Dog" Mitchell, amongst others.

The chassis was the first ever alloy beam chassis built by Harris (with lots of inspiration from Cobas?). The engine was a very fast but temperamental (more than the rider!), Rotax 250cc tandem-twin. Although astonishingly fast and succesful, the capricious nature of this bike nearly convinced Gremlin to give-up racing. The final crash, after yet another seizure, nearly ended everything at Scarborough.
