If you are a motorcycle racer or a track-day fanatic, you shouldn't leave home without a set of tyre-warmers. If you are really serious about your riding, then you shouldn't be without a pair of these.

As a racer, you need the confidence for that first-corner dash, to know you can safely brake that little bit later and tip-in that little bit harder, because your tyres are already up to working temperature. For the track-day rider it's important to know that you you don't need to waste half of each session, warming-up your tyres, before you start riding hard.

The advantage that these warmers have over cheaper models, is that each has an encapsulated digitally controlled thermostat unit (see secondary picture). This means that you can heat your tyres to a higher or lower temperature according to weather conditions and time restraints. Plus they give you accurate and easy to read data, which you can record in your technical logbook.
