A major bang on the head at Mallory Park, in late 1984, was the result of trying to ride around the outside of the race leaders at Gerrards Bend. The fact that this bunch included such legendary talents as John Cronshaw, Dave Pither, Bill Swallow will explain why this mind-boggling act of stupidity didn't work.

The outcome was "a lie-down" in the Medical Centre. Here, through tears of laughter, a barely conscious Gremlin, was invited to become a sidecar passenger. The invitation was worded something like "You're mental. You should race sidecars!"

The outcome of all of this, is seen in the picture below. The unconventional antics of driver Chris Williams and Gremlin as passenger, bear testimony to the evil nature of this beast (no, Gremlin has not just been picked-off by a sniper). It had to be fought rather than ridden! 

Despite everything, this outfit was FUN!!! So much fun, that this team won the VMCC Championship 1985, 1986 and 1987.
