With Gremlin ever more confident with riding the big Suzuki (number 99), more performance is sought. Weight has now been reduced to 150 kg, engine size is up to 1100cc. Engine power has been further boosted by a specially designed and built exhaust system. Front discs are 320mm.

Things are now reaching a real high, resulting in overconfidence and a monumental overdose of right wrist. The result is that moments after this picture was taken, the motor "threw its' lunch up" big time. The head fell off an inlet valve, at 11,000 rpm in top gear. The remains of the valve head and the valve seat were found wedged under the carburettor slide! The piston crown, rings and exhaust valve were found in the gearbox. Back to the drawing-board............
